Wickes lorry crashed into my Gate

I had a problem a little like this with Sainsbury's. There was a Sainsbury's delivery and immediately afterwards I noticed my car had a big dent the shape and position of the mechanism on the back of the lorry. Unlike the OP I did not witness the actual collision or have photographic evidence so my position was fairly weak, but what I found galling was that Sainsbury's flat out denied even having a vehicle in the area, when I had seen it reversing towards my car with my own eyes.Solar install June 2022, Bath

What is your proof exactly? Claims of “one of your lorries has hit my...” will not be uncommon for transport companies, especially when their vehicles are operating in residential areas.
If they aren’t cooperating you are going to need pretty damning evidence in the form of either a video of it happening or photos showing the lorry actually in contact with your gates.
If you have neither, it’s your word against their drivers and you will struggle to get anywhere.0 -
I get the impression that Wickes are fairly comfortable that your pictures are not incriminating enough.0

I can't work out how to upload my photos - yes, I have photos of him wedged between our gate and the verge opposite, the fresh damage to the verge and to the gate, also of the number plate of the lorry as he drove past me up the road without stopping to check anything. He has made a false statement to the insurance company saying that he didn't touch the gate at all when my husband and I watched him hit it at least 5 times!! - I will keep hassling them :¬)What is your proof exactly? I'd be posting the pictures and taking this story everywhere, Facebook, Instagram etc and linking Wickes to every one, as well as emailing, ringing etc... daily.0
