Left 3 months ago and still no final bill

I left Utilita Energy three months ago and I’ve still not received a final bill from them.

I’m wondering if this is common to have to wait so long for a final bill after leaving an energy supplier?

(Utilita had been appointed as supplier of last resort due to the failure of Our Power Energy, but I left them as soon as I could and have had my final bill from the administrators of Our Power Energy ages ago.)

Join the club I left Outfox the Market 6 months ago and they still haven't produced a final bill for me. I put in a complaint and it's now with the energy regulator.
Someone please tell me what money is

I was advised they have to produce the final bill within 6 weeks of leaving. If it is not then the leaving supplier should credit the customers account with £30.00.

Unfortunately OFGEM backed away from compensation for failing to produce a final bill within 6 weeks. It is still best efforts to get a final bill within 6 weeks and zero compensation for any failure to do so.

When there is a delay in getting a final, it is worth confirming with you new supplier that their DC has sent the switch reading to the old suppliers DC who then passes it on to the old supplier. That way when you chase you old supplier they can't use that as an excuse.

I am in the same position, I was in the process of switching to Our Power when they went bust, Utilita would not cancel the switch and eventually after many phone calls and complaints I received confirmation from Utilita I would be charged at Our Power rates until 1st April. I moved back to SSE on 22nd March as I have little choice due toTHTC meters. Following my complaints I received a call from Paul at Utilita customer services on 28th March and provided hime with my opening and closing meter readings, not heard a peep from Utilita since.

    Hi spiro, what's a DC?

Fortunately, I'm owing Utilita money about £65, which they can if they want take as long as they like to collect, I'm in no particular hurry but just found it odd to be waiting this time.

DC is the data collector, they read meters, process and validate the readings and pass it to the supplier. In the case of a change of supplier reading they also pass it to ths old suppliersDC.
