And if Ms Jones had read the post I referred to (#240)
Hush... I don't want to be quoted by her either!
                        Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -

Only a minority of women currently living were born in the 1950s, which means that most women would have to pay higher taxes (or equivalent) to fund WASPI's £30,000+ cheques from the Government, so I'm not sure why they are feigning surprise.
Even if you only considered basic self-interest, you would expect most women in the UK to oppose WASPI.
And leaving self-interest aside, most women born in the 1950s (who would be in line for their fantasy £30,000+ cheque) don't agree with WASPI's demand either.
There are a few million women born in the 1950s living in Britain and all WASPI's various squabbling factions now number only a few hundred in total. (Someone who posted a fire and forget rant on a Facebook page does not count as a member of a protest group.)0 -
The 2011 change was a little harsh. The rest seems fair enough.
Haven't read the whole thread but looks like WASPI types campaigned on the wrong aspect.

I told them that over 3 years ago. Got blocked by them and told by Anne Keen ( WASPI co founder )that the 1995 Act was the biggest injustice of all.
She started out in the 2011 FB group but as she only had a few months added on by 2011 the 1995 Act and a return to 60 has always been her aim.0 -
I wonder why Ms Jones thinks it a 'great shame as some of the comments are from women'.
Not every woman is as grasping as WASPI/Backto60.
Not every woman is as deluded as WASPI/Backto60.
They live in little bubbles in Twitter land and Facebook land where they rarely venture out. Everyone agrees with each other in these fantasy lands so they think that’s what everyone in the real world thinks. As soon as they meet someone in the real world they block them so the fantasies continue. And if Ms Jones had read the post I referred to (#240) she would have seen how ridiculous the 2 groups are making themselves by publicly falling out over the use of a poster. :rotfl:
It’s now something even more funny. BT60 has now accused WASPI of wanting Bridging Loans as a reliable source has told them that. Despite being shown it’s a Bridging Pension BT60 still stand by their announcement. Meanwhile Anne Keen, head honcho of WASPI Campaign 2018 is busy tweeting to show how well they all work together. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
The campaigners live in their own echo chamber where myths and distortions go unchallenged, and any dissenting voices are quashed. Their exposure to other views is limited to politicians and journalists fawning over them to further their own agendas.
It therefore comes as a big shock to them when they get a taste of reality and see what the general public actually thinks. In the big wide world where untruths get corrected and flawed logic is challenged, they struggle to cope. As exemplified by the tweet in question alerting Martin to a discussion going on in the forum of the website bearing his name, as if he is going to come in and start banning people to put a stop to any anti-WASPI sentiment.
(Way) beneath all of this there is a genuine grievance about the short notice of the 2011 Act. This has got completely lost though in a confused mess of self-interest, compensation culture and misandry.0 -

Then maybe they should venture out into the real world more often and find out what a large number of their contemporaries think. They live in little bubbles in Twitter land and Facebook land where they rarely venture out. Everyone agrees with each other in these fantasy lands so they think that’s what everyone in the real world thinks. As soon as they meet someone in the real world they block them so the fantasies continue.

What a shambles.

Didn’t Keen get rid of her co-founders of the original WASPI in a bloodless Coup?
https://www.ftadviser.com/2016/08/09/pensions/waspi-split-was-military-style-coup-says-faction-tydlMc7mRfjFcH5G3A2fKL/article.html
Then she fell out with her co-Directors of WASPI Ltd, left in a huff and started up waspi2018.

Now it looks like she’s about to lock horns with Joanne Welch of backto60 after one of her supporters accused her of wanting a bridging loan not a bridging Pension!
I’ll just sit on the sidelines with my popcorn and see what happens next. I guess they don’t realise they’re making a laughing 😂 stock out of themselves.0
