Thank you Elsien,
Despite having lived here for over 32 years, I only know one person, and he is a retired writer.
In the past I could have used my local pub landlord, but unfortunately I have not been in for many years as I am retired now and practically t-total.
If he knows by sight he should still be able to sign.0 -
Local shopkeeper? If they've got a licence to sell alcohol then presumably they'd count as being of good standing to get the licence? (Krays aside.)
Local councillor? Residents association? I don't really know mine that well but I've shown up at enough meetings over the past few years that I'm sure that'd count.
You've gone 32 years without talking to anyone?

yes , local off licence/pub , however the person must actually own a valid passport themselves0 -
Go to a post office and use their check and send service.
They will certify the pictures as a true likeness as well as check your passport application form and fast track it.
Costs around £12. Simples0 -

I'm pretty sure check and send will be useless if the op can't get anyone to countersign the paperwork for him.0 -

The PO check and send service can only be used to renew a passport if the old one can be produced at the post office as they use this to confirm that the applicant matches the photo in it.0 -

Did you read the OP?
They need their passport photos countersigned by someone who knows them because their old one has been reported as lost, that is not what the Post Office check & send service does. Simples.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

They do it for new applications too, they just make sure the supplied picture is of you.0 -
A GP isn't allowed to sign your application unless they are a personal friend.0
