F1rst parking - slightly different

Hi all,
I’ve been a long time lurker of this forum for a while and I’ve successfully helped friends fight parking tickets thanks to all of you. However this is a slightly different situation for which has left us confused.
The student received a parking ticket from F1rst parking for parking in a university car park without the correct permit and the student had a different permit on the car dashboard. They received a PCN on the window but we were not informed until after the NTK came by post so it is too late to do the 26 day appeal.
We have tried to appeal on the F1rst website but the generic template for appeals asks for photos of the sign but that is already there on the website when you sign in to appeal.
Also, the website asks if you are the driver or not and doesn’t let you send the appeal without choosing a tick box and if you tick ‘no’ it asks you to name the driver and gives you an open text box to do that. The keeper is planning on writing that they are under no obligation to provide the details of the driver (is it worth mentioning PoFA here?)
Should the keeper still appeal with the template and wait for a POPLA stage to appeal there?
They will be complaining to the university first btw.
Thanks for any help.

It's a trap, just like PPI
Send the appeal by email or post as the keeper.
No doubt it will be rejected, then await the POPLA code0 -
Why on earth do first parking say they may check your credit file....0

Sure it will be rejected and keeper will wait for the POPLA, but forcing you to name a driver is surely not allowed is it?
And they don’t accept appeals by email, website states it has to be through their appeals website.0 -

Guessing they try to scare people into paying them by saying that.0 -

Well then, as it's restrictive you are unable to comply. A point to raise in your appeal to POPLA.
Only cowboys behave in this way, hence the banks paid back
