Honestly I want to just finish the season as there is not that many games left it’s mainly because my friends have now decided they don’t want to play it after begging me to make us team and sign us up

They seem to have some dodgy Ts and Cs:

Teams are not allowed to leave the league with arrears. All debts must be cleared in full two weeks prior to the end of the season or a team will be automatically enrolled into the new season.

Seems a bit counter-intuitive to me... Re-enrolling a team if they are in breach of contract. I don't think they'd be able to enforce that term to be fair, but bear in mind that they MIGHT try and claim for it with you if you are in arrears and you'll need to know how to formulate an argument with regard to that.

Their offer of helping you out with players is in line with their Ts and Cs as well, and it is actually one of the NICER/FAIR terms that they have. I would take them up on that offer tbh.

I play football quite a bit, and I think the problem is related to squelchers like your team. Lots of people/teams sign up and don't follow through, leaving the league crap for people who WANT to play and leaving the company out of pocket. So they stack their Ts and Cs in such a way where, despite giving YOU some favourable terms, there are also some dubious ones which look to penalise those who don't show up.

In terms of your age, I am not sure but this link *may* be of use to you:

    http://www.lawandparents.co.uk/minors-entering-into-contracts.html

No idea as to how accurate it is, but it seems to suggest that:

    - 7-18 year olds CAN enter into a contract (and this makes sense, as you form a contract when you buy a drink from a supermarket, for example)

    - It is assumed that you do not understand the implications of entering into a contract. Ie, you get a "free pass" or "the benefit of the doubt".

But listen, I have no idea how this would pan out in reality. I would recommend that you speak to your parents. *maybe* show them this post as well, as it might help to point them in the right direction.

I’m pretty sure there’s no age restriction to register, It states that the manager has to be 18 and the players at least over 16.

Register "here", not register for your soccer game.

In which case you need to make your friends pay! Tell them they might as well pay as they still need to pay...

Make sure you do give proper notice for the end of the season.

The 17 bit? You ticked a box to say you were 18 so no get out there.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Turn up and pay for the next game and just stand motionless (think Steve McManaman in his Manchester City years) or, better yet, put through your own goal a few times. The organisers will get so many complaints from the other team that you'll more than likely be booted out of the league on the spot.

In fairness he didn’t just stand there.

He used to point a lot as well!

I get that I had to agree to the contract etc, but they didn’t go to any effort to ask for proof of age or anything like that which is not my fault.

now you see why they want grown ups.
