Soccersixes football

Hi everyone, A couple of weeks ago i signed up to a six a side league and played Sunday night paying the £30 fee, Today we decided we wanted to leave the league and i text the league manager stating we no longer want to play, due to a player injury and the fact other people won’t be able to play every week. The league manger has immediatley text me back saying, “You’re signed up for the full season mate so you’ll need to play and pay until a replacement is found. I can help out with players.“ However me and the team really do not want to play. I was thinking what will happen if we just don’t play? Will they be able to take us to court? I am 17 and to play in the league your manager has to 18 so I lied and said I was, is the contract still legally binding? Would this put me at an advantage or disadvantage?

Are you seriously asking if knowingly committing fraud would put you at an advantage?

And also it’s not my fault they asked for no proof of age? If a pub served someone underage and he police found out who would get in the most trouble? Would the answer not be the pub?

Not sure how many pubs ask you to agree to a legally binding contract confirming that the details you have given to be correct... but hey go with that stance and see how you get on :D

I get that I had to agree to the contract etc, but they didn’t go to any effort to ask for proof of age or anything like that which is not my fault.

Haven't checked recently, but is it possible to sue a child, or do you have to sue the parents?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

What age do you have to be to register here - is there an age restriction? Just asking.

I’m pretty sure there’s no age restriction to register, It states that the manager has to be 18 and the players at least over 16.

Given your recent tendency to make hasty decisions that turn out to be mistakes, I suggest you step away from the internet until you’re old enough to not buy things impulsively.

Sounds like we have a top contender for 'it must be someone else's fault' king of 2019!
