Morning I've just had £7.65 hit my bank account from V!nted today and moved 17p of cashback rewards from the new Cha$e account to savings taking May's free money up to £264.68. I haven't received my Cha$e debit card yet but they do give you the card details in the app so I can use it for online purchases. Quite impressed with the account so far though, I already have £1.52 in the attached 5% interest round up account so looking forward to seeing this pot and the cashback rewards building once I can use the card for the majority of our purchases.
I also realised that DH and I missed a milestone regrading our mortgage this month, we've paid off 50% of the initial amount we borrowed (£88,400), not bad going for just under 9 years once you throw in 2 children/maternity leaves, 1 wedding, lots of renovations and me not working since last summer to the mix!!!
DS1 still poorly and it's raining here so another lazy day on the cards. DH and I are getting a few small chores/jobs done around the house. Will pick DS2 up from nursery just after 12 and then plod on with the bits that need done.2 -

Small free money update: £5 Te$co voucher from Micro$oft rewards, £1.30 Cha$e rewards (debit card arrived on Saturday so have been using this instead of CC for weekly shop), £2 L!dl voucher from the app. Total free money for May £272.98.
The Round-up pot on the Cha$e account is at £5.38 already, great little feature and even better that this small pot pays 5%So far I'm really impressed with this account, just a shame you can't have it as a joint account. If anyone is interested in a referral code PM me (We'd both receive £20).
The Hyp3rjar accounts are working well for the boys, they're loving having a card and when we were shopping on Saturday the both treated themselves to some sweeties, a small toy and a go on one of those £1 ride-on machines.
We've had a relatively quiet weekend, back to the usual routine this week. Hope everyone is well xx1 -
Sorry to hear about the sickness bug and all the washing!
Great that you've managed to pay 50% off your initial mortgage amount. 🥂
The hyp3rjar accounts do sound good, will investigate later when I have time (at work!) and I hadn't heard of the cha5e account either, will have a look. 👍Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Hi @sashybo and @FootyFanDan
So far I'm a fan of the account. It's app based which suits me. It was simple to set up and use, there's an attached savings account paying 1.5% and then the added bonus of cashback on most spends for 12 months plus an option to round up spending to the nearest pound, this money gets added to a pot paying 5%. Won't make a fortune but it's better than a lot of options out there. Definitely worth looking at the info on this site about the account, got to get our small wins where we can ☺️1 -
Busy few days, the boys school have had a number of jubilee related activities and trips for the children so I've been helping out there as well as doing school runs for my nieces then bringing them to ours for food and play dates with their parents having Covid. Took Mum for her shopping and coffee today and also managed to catch up with a friend over a coffee on Monday, enjoyed a much needed catch up
Hopefully everything back to normal tomorrow when I'm planning to make the most of the boys being at school and DH being out for work to ensure the house gets a good clean down before they're all off next week as we tend to keep chores to a bare minimum during the holidays to focus on fun and relaxing as much as possible.
Free money continuing to trickle in - £10 from hitting the £200 threshold on the L!dl app, £4.39 from Ziff!t for a few more books, £30.40 from V!nted (plus a few more sales in progress), 16p rewards from Cha$e - free money total now at £317.93
The 5% paying round up account is at £6.63 so everything ticking over nicely.

You've been very busy, well done on all your v!nted sales too, I really need to get a big pile of stuff listed again, it's all small amounts of money but it's amazing how it all adds up.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
