Thanks Sashy, so far both boys are responding well to having the accounts and having a bit of autonomy over their own money.

Received 65p from TCB today so May free money total is £241.02

After registering my interest ages ago I've been accepted for the postal survey panels today. I've set my account up and just waiting to see what I need to do moving forward, interested to see how it all works and should fit in well with the school runs as far as I can see.

Have also had quite a few quick, low paying surveys on Pro!ific and nearly at the £5 cash out stage again.

DS2 has a tummy bug again  :( started last night so that's him off school until Wednesday, he's better today and eating well. He just looks really wiped out bless him, hoping a good sleep tonight will get him back on track. So an extra load of washing done today, just managed to get it pegged out as it's been raining here all day. Managed to get a few other quick chores completed around looking after DS2, just need to make something quick and easy for our evening meal and we'll be on track.

The gig we were supposed to be at on Saturday has been cancelled due to illness, part of me is upset as it is someone I really want to see but the MSE part of me is thinking it's one less thing to spend money on  :D:smile:

We're also due at a wedding on Friday (child free) but this is now in doubt as it involved the boys staying with DH's brother's family as it's a at a location a few hours away from where we live, but their youngest child tested positive for Covid yesterday  :s so it's not looking good at this stage. I swear I'm going to stop making child free plans as the universe seems to conspire to stop them happening!!!  :D

Thanks SH. I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be, it's out of our control so although it will be disappointing if we don't make the wedding it can't be helped. DH and I have agreed that if we don't go we're going to get our favourite wine and order a takeaway from our local Indian restaurant who make the most amazing food so we still have something to look forward to. Our niece is pretty poorly with Covid so it's looking unlikely that she'll be on the mend by Friday, health comes first.

DS2 off again today, just having a nap as he woke up really early today. He's much better so definitely back to school tomorrow.

Shortly after my post yesterday I hit the £5 threshold for Pro!ific and then got a couple of higher paying surveys so have cashed out a total of £15.84 taking May's free money pot up to £256.86.

After many weeks procrastinating over listing some more of the boy's outgrown clothes on V!nted for several weeks I found some motivation and have listed 70 items!!! A lot of these have either been bits both boys have used or items from bundles I've bought on Marketplace but don't suit the boys , we don't buy many new clothes. Have listed them at quite low prices of between £1 and £2 which has proved successful as I've sold quite a few items already! A few people have bought bundles so the packing up of the items hasn't been too arduous and all being well that will be a further £25 to add to the free money pot. Am going to drop these off shortly on my way to pick DS1 up from school.

Have highlighted a few more items to list but these will need a quick iron first to look better in the photos, will aim to work my way through listing these over the next few days or weeks or months  :D

Well done on the free £. The weekend plans sound nice. While it's a shame to miss a milestone occasion - I personally find such social occasions quite arduous.

I must admit SH that since having children and more recently the pandemic, I find the thought of being at large social occasions less and less appealing. I certainly do a lot less socialising in groups than I used too, much prefer 1-2-1 or small group catch ups nowadays. We're going to make a final decision tomorrow morning about whether we are going to the wedding or not, our niece is starting to feel better so we'll see what the morning brings...

I've taken all the V!nted parcels to my local parcel drop off points this morning and while I was in the mood I ironed and listed the other pieces I found yesterday. Sold another item already! Also increased the level of discount I offer on bundles so hopefully that will encourage a few more buyers.

Booked tickets for DH and I to see Maverick at our local cinema next weekend, looking forward to that

There were some unexpected roadworks when I went to pick DS1 up from school today which led to an unusual traffic jam on our diverted route...
The boys thought it was hilarious being surrounded by sheep and wound their windows down to baa at them 🐑🤣

Love it - I had that with a herd of cows once. I found that scary but the sheep look cuter

Yes I'd find a herd of cows scary too!!!

Well our weekend away is officially cancelled  :( Perhaps somewhat predictably DS1 has caught DS2's tummy bug and has spent most of last night and today being sick. DH's brother also now has Covid so the best plan was simply to cancel.

The bride and groom have been very understanding and we have sent them a bottle of champagne via Ama$on (used vouchers so only paid £7 cash and posted their card today.

I'm extremely grateful that it's been sunny and windy here today as the washing machine has been on constantly due to DS1 being sick in his bed, on himself and on DS2's bed  :s most of it is dry and waiting on being put away but the last load will be left out overnight as I'm exhausted and can't be bothered bringing it in!

As it stands now any thoughts towards doing anything at all over the weekend are on hold until we see how DS1 is through night and into tomorrow. DS2 still not 100% either as he seems overly tired so we're keeping an eye on him too.

V!nted continues to go well with a few more sales, the total pending here is just over £40 at the moment. No other free money pending from any other sources just yet.

Hope everyone else is okay x
