Yes you're so right EH, it was such a struggle once the afternoon hit. Did manage to get to bed a bit earlier last night to make up for it thank goodness 🙂

Quick check in for consistency. Today has been work, straight to parents evening (both boys doing well and on track with everything ⭐⭐) then out for a long overdue catch up with bestie. This was originally supposed to be just for a drink but we both had full on days so made use of a 2 for £25 main courses to have a bite to eat too, a very good use of my personal spends.

DH and boys enjoyed pizza and a bit of gaming while I was out, easy for DH after he had a busy day too plus a little reward for the boys good efforts at school.

    Today's PAD: £1 to M&S CC & £1 to Savings.

    Debt total now £5088 (M&S CC £488)

Managed to grab a couple of AI surveys on Pro!ific and a few other low paying surveys this evening and cashed out £12.47, kept the loose change for personal spends and sent £12 to M&S on top of the daily £1.

    Today's PAD: £13 to M&S CC & £1 to Savings.

    Debt total now £5075 (M&S CC £475)

Other than that I have had a busy day at work with very demanding customers, to the point it felt like one of those hidden camera style shows! DH had a 4 hour round trip for his job today so we're both feeling drained.

Made an easy spag bol for us all, dropped off then later collected DS2 at his club and other than that very little done. The weather has been dreadful here, really cold and persistent rain so here's hoping those heatwave rumours actually come true for us here in the very far north 🤞 I'll keep my umbrella at close hand for now though 🤣

Fingers crossed for us both @beanielou as its also been grey and overcast all day, rain again since around 7pm. Maybe tomorrow…

Day off today, caught with sis in law over a cuppa (or 3 😉) at her house after dropping the boys at school then bumped into my brother so had a catch up with him then realised it was 230 and I hadn't eaten 😮 so grabbed a quick sandwich before picking the boys up again. DS1 had arranged to go to a friends house after school so dropped him there after checking it was okay with his friends parents so took DS2 for an ice cream to mark the end of another half term.

Also manged to secure a discount code for an activity we enjoy as a family for next week so bit of a spend to secure the tickets for that, taken from the overtime money I set aside. Well worth it as we'll be out for a full day, will just need to put together a few picnic bits to take with us to help keep costs down.

DH has had a revelation and agreed that the boxes of his crap hidden treasures on the loft can finally be sorted and sold, donated or binned so we've spent a couple of hours this evening sorting through a few boxes and put together a decent amount of items that can be moved on - result!

Have racked up 15,000 after all of that activity, really hoping this translates into a decent night's sleep as I've struggled this week.

Hi @sashybo good to see you, it most definitely does help to post regularly, I'm feeling quite in the zone at the moment 🙂

Still no heatwave here, it's been a very untropical 15 degrees! It's stayed dry but very cloudy and a cool breeze. Have managed to get all school uniforms and DS1's bedding washed and line dried so won't complain too much.

Spent a bit of time today uploading some of DH's 'treasures' to a 2nd hand electronics website and then had a drive to a nearby town to hand the items in at their physical store rather than paying postage to send via a parcel company. Just waiting to hear back from them once they've completed their checks but hopefully a decent amount of money to come back to DH 🤞

We also had a walk out to the big play park in town, the boys bumped into a few friends which meant we were there a lot longer than intended so we grabbed a pack of sausage rolls from G3eggs and some apples, crisps and water from H3rons to create a quick lunch as we were so hungry. Total spend £7.50 so not too bad.

DH out at a gig tonight so me and the boys watching BGT and then off to bed soon as we're all feeling tired.

Little bit extra added to the CC PAD today just because I'm itching to get below £5k 😄

    We have sun! ☀️☀️☀️

Spent most of the day out in the garden enjoying it in case it disappears as quickly as it's arrived 🤣

The sun is still shining - yay! Sadly I'm stuck at work all day - boo!

Double time though, will be worth it next pay day 😉 & to be fair, it's very quiet today. We just operate a minimal service on bank holidays hence I'm on here. Hope I haven't just jinxed myself 😅

A3da delivery day today, £97.48 spent.

Building and Contents Insurance renewed yesterday for £155.58, hopefully £34 cashback coming from that too all being well.

DH has taken his car to be valeted at his own expense today so not counting the cost of that on the household budget.

Checked my store loyalty and receipt scanning apps and all ticking over nicely, in particular, my Shopp!x balance is at 11545, the highest I've let it build. I usually cash out for a £5 voucher but have left it alone since December. Currently worth a £20 voucher. Can get a £25 voucher if I let it build up to 14200 points, just got to hold my nerve as I'm always nervous these receipt snapping apps will go bust before I claim my rewards, will be a good addition to the Xmas spends if I can claim the £25 though.

Hope everyone is enjoying their bank holiday 🌞
