Selling Santander Shares?

This may have been asked before, but I can't find an even nearly definitive answer for it.
I wish to sell my small Santander shareholding, largely arising from the acquisition of my Alliance and Leicester shares in late 2008, but with a few 'DRIP' shares since.
I keep coming across this Spanish Tax form 210, which has a bureaucratic process that even Kafka and Orwell would have considered far-fetched! Santander share line are actively unhelpful on the matter.
I think the shares now represent a considerable capital LOSS since the acquisition, currently trading at around £3.50
Do I need to fill in this form at all, or just sell and be damned, but avoid ever going to Spain again (not a problem for me!) ?
Or is it easier/safer just to give the proceeds to charity?
Thanks in anticipation!

Having looked at previous post regarding sale of shares, my understanding is that if you are not making a profit you need not pay Spanish with holding tax or the form 210. So if the A & L shares were say valued at £6.00 when transfered to Santander you will be selling at a loss.
I noted this as mentioned on a previous thread, and understand the person spoke with Equinitiwho sell the shares and this was told to her.
I will try and find the thread in my past history0 -

Hope this helps, dates to Oct 2017 with post added in March 2018 which mention selling at loss and not needing to declare0 -
Thanks. That is my reading of the situation and the risks seem extremely low, but it's still not exactly crystal and would our friends in Spain have any axes to grind with the British public now or in the future?!
From their historical share performance, I would say that just about ANY sale now would represent a loss, so we should be safe. I just want rid of the things!0
