SABA penalty notice

The car of which I am the registered keeper had a 'Penalty Notice' issued by Saba Park Solutions UK Limited stuck on the windscreen while parked at a South Eastern Railway station car park.

I've read through the Newbies thread so am I correct in saying that I should just ignore any and all correspondence from either Saba or their 'debt' collectors, and that I do not have to appeal or engage with them in any way?

Surely it can't be that easy? :D

You are correct, and it is that easy where railway byelaws apply.

After six months are up, contact the scammers and instruct them to delete all your personal data, and send you written confirmation they have done so, as this alleged event is now statute barred.
Please also complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Excellent news and thanks for the confirmation :D
  • Does same rule apply if hospital car park ticket?

I was on nights with a permit to park but turns out my permit did not allow me to park in a separate Trust's car park.. should I just ignore? I called Facilities in the hospital and they said I should've received a warning first and therefore they advised me to email the address on the ticket and explain this.. should I, or should I ignore?

    TIA

It's a completely different situation at a hospital. You need to read the thread at the top of this board that tells Newbies to read it first.

After you've read that start your own thread for bespoke advice.

    No it does not.

If you require further help you are best advised to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Then if you have further questions, please start a new thread.

Trying to deal with more than one issue in a single thread can only lead to confusion.

Everyone is asked to read up on this in the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before posting

Go there now to get an understanding of the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this

If you have need further assistance then please start your own thread and don't hijack someone else's like this

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

Also if you have used your real name as your forum name then you need to ask MSE to change it to something anonymous

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you in Court
