All market estate agent!?

Hi all. Is there such thing as an ‘all market’ estate agent or only agents covering a certain area? The reason I ask is we have quite a strict idea of the house type/style we want to buy but are not really bothered about area (obviously not a rough, run down area) but we are open to options within a 15 mile radius of my mums house so wondered if there was an agent we could contact with house specifics that would then search for us. We are signed up to right move etc but wasn’t sure if that was the only Avenue. Thanks

15 miles is a narrow area.

Just use rightmove with a custom map area

There are agents who will buy for you, but they'll want paid. Doesn't seem very money-saving to me. A 15 mile radius is hardly a huge area.

If you spot a road of houses that take your fancy, pop letters through the letterbox to see if anyone is interested in selling.

There are a few areas where the agents tend to use Zoopla or Primelocation rather than Rightmove.

Between those three, the market is probably fairly well covered.

nothing to stop you letting an estate agent know what you are looking for and ask them to get in touch if they have a match

Someone here may know areas or streets if you want to be more specific. We're all over the place and you can guarantee someone will know a road or location.

Unlike Rightmove, Zoopla / Primelocation allow you to add a keyword to your search.

So you can search a wide area, but limit the results to properties that include your key word. If you are only interested in a 3 storey 'town house', or a house with a 'swimming pool', you can search on those criteria.

The disadvantage is that whilst Zoopla / Primelocation have a good spread of properties, Rightmove is a bigger site with more property listings (I think).

Once you do the top level search right move has a keyword option on the results page where you can add multiple keyword.

eg with swimming pool on a search I did earlier

    can be saved and reused

and now with town house added

Rightmove now has keyword search, or rather it prioritises properties with a keyword.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.
