Car Hire USA

Options
This is our scenario:

Travelling to USA in July to visit family and need to hire 7 seater vehicle.
Driver could be a resident of USA, with USA driver's licence.
One family member travelling with us is American, now living in UK, and holds GB and USA drivers licences.

Everything is looking very expensive and I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips/advice as to the best way we could do this?

Thank you

Why does this matter? I do not really wish to share this information on this platform. My question is a generic scenario and I am not looking for a quote on here, just advice as to what might be the best option. Thank you.

It makes it hard to give tips and advice with so little info, and nothing you have been asked for is remotely personal information.

The advice is continue to look for something less expensive or change your requirements. Generic advice.
If you want detailed advice, give details. It's a free forum. No one here owes you anything.
So be polite and give as much detail as you can without giving away anything personal.

For all you know, someone may have personal experience in that particular location.

Stating something like Orlando in July is hardly revealing personal detail. Ridiculous.

My experience is that over the past couple of years or so prices have been edging upwards (possibly exchange rate related).

If you are looking to rent a large car from a high demand location during a peak period then yes it is going to be expensive.

Try different scenarios, a different car selection (SUV, 2 smaller cars maybe cheaper), non airport locations, prepayment options, use cashback sites, find discounted offers.

    Generic enough for you?
