MS Surface Pro 6

I called in at my nearest Currys store at lunchtime to get a look at an example and try out the keyboard for myself - no chance, not a single model of any Surface machine in the store. I'm now leaning to not buying, too expensive at a decent seller, too rubbish at Currys to risk it.

The platinum one may be a different finish/material and not just a different colour. Given that the Currys version of platinum is more than JL then it's hardly evading a price match.

They are both the same price on the Microsoft website though.

It's bad isn't it that a retailer has such a bad reputation that even when it has by far the pest pricing on a product people still choose to buy (or not buy) elsewhere. I see you've narrowed your choices down to three laptops on another thread; I would still err towards a Surface.

I did at least get a chance to look at one while I was viewing other machines in JL. It's nice but I think the screen might be just a bit too small, and the extra cost is probably not justified for my purposes.
