The DIY platforms tend not to include an offshore bond wrapper but a number of the intermediary platforms do.
Or were you looking at holding them unwrapped?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. I am looking to possibly emigrate next year. I am looking to somehow hold them offshore UK (so that I will not be liable for any UK tax). I will not have to pay tax on them where I am going.
I am looking for a safe platform that will facilitate this.0 -

If you aren't UK-resident, your capital gains won't be taxable in the UK.
As far as dividends are concerned:
- dividends from non-UK-domiciled funds (e.g. Irish ETFs) won't be taxable in the UK, even if held on a UK platform
- for dividends from UK-domiciled funds (whether held on a UK platform or not), you have a choice. Either you pay UK tax on them, or you exclude them from UK tax but forgo a personal allowance for any other UK-source income you may have
So the nationality of the platform likely doesn't make a difference to your tax position.
Of course if (as you fear) no UK platform lets you continue to invest when you're abroad, then you need to find a platform elsewhere.0 -

Is anyone aware of a UK platform that allows investments in shares and funds (including unit trusts) and is happy for clients to continue using their platform even if they were to emigrate.0
