What happens when you are reported by someone for downloading music and videos from the internet in the UK. What could potentially happen?

The report is being made by a disgruntled friend (well old friend now) – so this is not coming from the ISP in this case.

Does anyone have any ideas what could maybe come of this? and how long to wait if anything does come of this?

I’ve read up that ISP normally send letters but in this case, it’s an old friend so not sure how this works and what the penalty may be?

Thanks

Absolutely nothing I'd have thought, it's not like the RIAA or whoever it is over here will come and kick your door down because of an anonymous email.

Does he know your ISP ?

Look I cant see anything happening off the back of it.
They tend to go for those making the film/music available to download.
If the ISP are concerned they would send a letter.
