nationwide select credit card - cannot see pending transactions

in Credit cards
Hi all,
Got myself a nationwide select credit card. Activated and all, but none of the first few transactions show up as pending on the nationwide app. Be it Amex or Halifax credit cards, they show pending transactions. But with the NW card, no entry visible. That's a bit disappointing/disconcerting to be honest. Pending transaction details on a more real time basis would be very helpful, esp. when travelling and I collect all the receipts.
Did I do anything wrong with the NW app? Anyone experiencing the same issues?
Thanks

You didn't do anything wrong, that's just how it is; Nationwide doesn't show pending credit card payments. They do for debit cards, but not credit cards.0

Try a Tandem CC, instant notifications, 0.5% cashback and no fees for overseas travel.Evolution, not revolution0

I'll wait till tomorrow for the first transaction to have cleared and hopefully show up. I needed a back-up credit card for the Clarity card which is my main travel card. Notification about pending transactions esp. abroad makes a big difference for me. Maybe I'll be using the card for big tickets, like hotel and give Clarity the rest of biz. Let's see. Still, bit disappointed.0

It doesn’t show pending transactions but they do come off your available balance.0

I've had a Select card and its predecessor for 16 years and the lack of pending transaction data has never been an issue for me, so why would it be for you? The important thing is to keep your own record of transactions, as it is for every type of account.0

Nationwide are not unique in not showing pending transactions. TSB don't either.0

First few transactions appeared (just got the card lit. few days ago). Bit anachronistic really having to wait for pending transactions to show up. Well, to be fair, got spoiled by Starling's instant notification with all details. Will keep the card of course as travel back-up. Generous credit line and is otherwise well integrated in the NW mobile banking app. Just hope NW will invest some money towards these little conveniences one now takes for granted.0

They have it for debit cards so they have the technology.
You can leave feedback in their complaints section. Nationwide need to know that you would like that service.0 -
Although they have it for debit cards (odd that it doesn't show merchant name) their credit cards are run by TSYS so it's not the same system that the debit cards run on (as far as I am aware). That's no excuse though, TSYS are a huge company and the technology clearly exists so it's probably a question of integration with online and mobile banking.0
