How about fork handles?0

Broom handle performance is questionable.
Early hoe testing by Clarkson proved troublesome.

Is £500 what the feature costs as an option (on other models)?0
-
From what I can tell its a feature that means instead of pulling a lever on the seat to make it go flat you press a button to make it go flat! Unless you're very specifically unable to do the former it's another one of the pointless features modern cars seem to be filling up with!
Does the car also have a pointless button on the boot lid that you have to reach up and press just to make it close itself instead of just pulling it down manually while your hand is already in the air?

Unnecessary electrification of items that don't need it really puts me off cars. It's really funny at a dealers when the salesman tries to impress me with an electric tailgate or similar. I always remember the story about the Mercedes engineers and door mirrors. They wanted electric mirrors for the passenger door but manual adjustment on the driver's side. There is no advantage in motors for the driver's side. They were told that everyone would be impressed by motors so they were forced to motorise both sides.0

But that's exactly the setup our Citroen ZX has... And, yep, it's what adds maximum functionality with minimum complication.0 -
Nice choice. Drove the van version and it was a great driving position for me.
Just couldn't justify the splurge on the Rifter.
Will none of the Rifters have this as standard?
Thinking resale time if its a feature that will hurt you by being missing.
It is a nice vehicle overall! Only the 'standard' length version, GT Line will have this feature as standard I believe. I have the 'Long' as I wanted the extra boot space.
I don't think the button is electric, rather its a cable which activates the seats dropping. Handy though, not necessary at all, but I would have used it!0 -

Note the "**" footnote and reference to Magic Flat in the GT Line spec on p4. I suspect the lack of MF relates to the additional seat row in the 7-seat LWB. Can you imagine the shenanigans that mischevious rearmost seat occupants could have with the control, and the effect on middle-seat occupants?
So the brochure is correct, and you were misinformed by the dealer. Given this is a fairly new vehicle into production, that's probably not a great surprise. I think a £500 apology from them is generous.0 -

In that case I would push for as much as you can get in cash or value such as a service/mats or whatever but its not a deal breaker if its not specific to LWB anyway.
Its not like you would have cancelled the order without it0
