Electricity goes off and then comes back on

I've had this in all the homes I've lived in over my entire life. It's the supply that goes off then (probably) auto-recloses due to a fault elsewhere.
Slightly more frequent in the latest home, but fed via overhead lines in/to much of the village.
BUT talk to the neighbours! They'll confirm if it's the same for them. You may find that you can find out about recent outages online e.g. https://www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk/power-cut/list0 -
Thanks, i tried that but they don#t cover my area, i went to the company that does and they don't show anything current and don't show history.
Will ask neighbours and then try and then try and keep dates and check.

Maybe there is overhead lines to my area and then cabled underground to my property, not sure would need to check.

Talk to your neighbours. !
If it's fault incidents actually on your doorstep then the online info won't give that amount of detail.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Then they should be investigating, it’s not acceptable to say no records, they should be investigating their network to prove its not an issue on their side. Thanks, i tried that but they don#t cover my area, i went to the company that does and they don't show anything current and don't show history.

If the automatic equipment is doing its job then there is no issue for them to investigate.
As I recall the official definition of an interruption of supply is one that lasts over 3 mins.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
anything less than 3 minutes is a short interruption. However auto recloses would be seen by the high voltage network and recorded. OP has stated that the DNO he spoke to had no record of incidents. That to me says its either an issue on the Low voltage network or one at the customers property (whether that be on their own wiring or at the cut out or meter) either way if the DNO has no record of any interruptions then imho they should be doing some further investigation. If the automatic equipment is doing its job then there is no issue for them to investigate.
