I'm not sure it is a troll thread.

The OP has been a member for over 2 years with sensible previous posts.

I saw it as a simple question.
But then again, I'm not the sort of poster who automatically suspects threads are started by a troll.

Background:

A couple of years back, Martin was on one of his TV appearances and he said that if a shop offers you a discount on a purchase to take out a loyalty card, you are able to say no thanks to the card, but you must give me the discount because otherwise, it is discriminatory.

I was just pondering how far that could be stretched. Oh, and I was drunk.

Definitely a drunken thread (self confessed) but still not a troll thread.

I just think the OP probably mis-remembered what he heard Martin say.

And using yours, you've came to the conclusion that someone being ignorant about the law/resentful of others is unlikely to be genuine?

If so, it would seem you've either led a very sheltered life or a very oblivious one.
