Incorrect bill

Thanks everybody for your input.
I have now paid the bill (although I still don't understand it so will have to spend some time trying to get my head around it)
FYI my partners PHD is not in maths - but I think of him as being very clever and good at maths - especially in comparison to me who is dyslexic and struggled to get a C in GCSE back in the 1990's!
I didn't know that I had an option re 'estimated bill' - when it came in it said 'pay now' and so I did. I'll try and remember that for the future. Although here's hoping I'll not have to move house anytime soon (which is how the situation arose) and am now with Octapus energy who are much easier to deal with and understand their billing - they even automatically refund you when you leave them (only did so as we moved) - unlike most energy companies who keep any money that they owe you unless you chase them!
If you want to join octopus energy and split £100 (£50 to us and £50 to you) use this link - we've already made £100 using this!

Happy ending - after I paid the bill me and my partner tried to get our heads round it and still couldn't I put in a complaint to the energy ombudsman because I thought at least they could explain to me why it was right. E.O.N then looked into the matter before it officially went to the ombudsman and concluded at although the bill was correct their explanation as to why it was correct (written not verbal) was complete nonsense and so offered £100 as an apology and explained it in a way that me and my partner could understand (although it took my partner a few attempts at explaining it to me for me to get it)....but I accepted their apology and the cheque for £100 came through today.0
