How long do closed cards take to disappear from credit report?

I closed a credit card account in March but it still shows on all of my credit reports, which falsely gives the impression that I have some credit available that I don't. How long does it normally take to disappear? I would have thought it'd take a month but my credit reports have now been updated twice since I closed the account and it's still listed.

6 years from closure (unless it defaulted before then).
They will be marked as closed for those years.0 -

Are you sure the account is closed? Did you request in writing that a letter be sent to you confirming it is?
Usually it can take anywhere up to 2-3 months after an account is closed to be moved from active accounts over to the settled/closed section, it all depends on how regularly the lender updates back to the CRAs.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. The section were the account is reported should also show a “last updated” date. Some accounts will have more recent dates and others older dates. This will give you an indication on when it would be updated.0

The closed account will still remain on your credit file, under the "closed account" section for 6 years, similar to all credit data.
In terms of it being updated from an open account to a closed account, it typically takes 4-8 weeks in my experiences for changes to propagate through from the lender to your credit report. It might be worth getting in touch with your lender and requesting confirmation that the account was actually closed, and asking them to follow up and ensure that this information has been reported to the CRAs.0
