Monday was a bank holiday.0

WD1 - Thurs 23
WD2 - Fri 24
WD3 - Mon 27
WD4 - Tues 28
WD5 - Wed 29
Today is Working Day 5.
T&Cs "Because Under Armour does not charge for items until they ship, we may use a pre-authorization process to reserve your products for shipment. In order to avoid unnecessary overdraft charges, a method called a “pre-authorization” is often used by banks to verify that the credit/debit card in use is valid and has sufficient funds."
Under Armour have taken payment. My PayPal is showing when this was taken (19th May). The items have been cancelled. They haven't shipped. Their T&Cs specifically state when payment is taken.
There is no refund on my PayPal account.
As I said, I can wait.
Nice selective bolding alongside your lack of knowledge of a bank holiday.
Paypal have taken your money so they know there is enough to give to UA. UA haven't charged for anything. They are doing the pre auth exactly as they said they would.0 -

It was an English Bank Holiday. I am not in England.
Interesting you say I haven't been charged because I raised a dispute with PayPal who have given Under Armour 10 days to respond. If I hadn't been charged then surely PayPal would have advised me on this?
My PayPal account states "Payment" as the transaction status.
My Credit Card is showing it has a payment. I've never seen my Credit Card showing a Transaction as "Pre authorisation" etc.
Pre-Authorisation with my credit card company lasts 5 days. Even if the Pre-Authorisation appeared as a transaction on my Credit Card this was 10 days ago so would have expired and would have either dissappeared from my statement or be showing as a credit.0 -
Hi, i placed 3 x orders on Sunday 19/5/19
I have had 2 x order confirmations out of the 3 and no items delivered.
I've had no cancellation e-mails and no items delivered but all 3 payments have been taken.
It has now been 7 working days since i ordered.
I've e-mailed Under Armour and also messaged them on their facebook chat but not had any response at all.
What are my next steps?
I'm not fussed about waiting for the money as it was only £80 in total
What are your thoughts?0 -

You should go onto the HUKD thread and read about those who paid by card if you think that paying by that method makes any kind of difference to the situation.0 -
Bank holidays were harmonised throughout the UK back in the 90s, so your bank (and theirs) were on holiday on Monday, irrespective of whether you also got the day off.
The vast majority of Scots were working as usual on Monday. My comment was merely to excuse my "lack of knowledge" or more the fact that the event didn't impact or influence my day. My train was slightly quieter that normal. So yes, whilst it might still be WD4, the whole situation has been a shambles and I don't expect to see a refund within 5 working day.
EDIT: I was sent the email at 6:02am so I am perfectly within my rights to say that WD1 was 22nd May and therefore today is WD5.0 -

Awesome, you're quibbling over what hour the email was sent. As I said, the chances are they'll need to manually do the refunds so it may take longer.0 -

Of course it was, like the OP I'm in Scotland and the only thing closed were the banks. That always catches me out even after a few decades up here.0 -
Maybe it's just the amount of refunds they have to process that might be adding to the delays? It was 5000+ heat, and now a 6000+ comment thread. Can't imagine if they have to go through each and every order it's going to be a quick process, also might explain the standard cancellation email somone got without their name or order number.
It was posted as a misprice offer (not a sale, I got the alert via phone notification, although I'm pretty certain I had two notifications and the first was titled a glitch) so anybody ordering knew the chances they where taking when ordering so not entirely sure why anybodies complaining now. I would give them time, although they're under time restraints to refund I imagine it's costing them a fair bit in admin to fix this.0
