Just seen this person
selling tickets not far from me and looking to get some to take my mum to for a bday treat.
I know I am paying over the odds for them but will the seats in this part of the O2 arena be any good? Its in front of the stage but at the very back.
Also if I bought them are there any security measures in place that may mean when we turn up we wont be allowed to go in? I wouldnt want to buy something then find they are cancelled tickets (ive heard this can happen).
Thanks for any advice!

Funny, that's the same block I was in for Prince
You're quite far back, but you can see the screens. I'd post a pic but I don't know how to get it off my phone :rolleyes:My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
the parts on these auctions that say they dont have the tickets in hand but have confirmation from tickets mater - is this normal? The reason i ask is that there are some auctions with pics of tickets and some without.
Thanks for letting me know what the viewing is like from those seats.0 -

i think it depends on who they were bought from and the date of the event as to wether the seller has tickets in hand or not0 -
You are taking a risk in buying these tickets as the seller has mentioned the actual seat numbers leaving themselves wide open to ticketmaster cancelling the tickets as they have done here
http://www.metroradioarena.co.uk/whoweare/newsview.aspx?st=509
The chances of this happening are low but as you see it does happen.
He may well not have the tickets in hand for this as they often don't turn up till a few days before. Although they look to be legit tickets.0 -
Tickets are sent out late on nearer to the event so that bit's usual.
I just sent a nice message to the sellerHi, I have reported the tickets to Ticketmaster as you are selling the tickets on to make a profit. This will result in the tickets being voided and unusable by any buyer. See here for more information http://www.metroradioarena.co.uk/whoweare/newsview.aspx?st=509 You will probably also be named and shamed as a ticket tout on a website like the above example. If you didn't want to go see the event, why buy the tickets?! Have a nice day!

I of course did not do any reporting, but someone else may well. If you think I am being harsh, consider the fact that when you want to buy tickets, hundreds of Ebay losers are on the phone calling up as soon as the ticket lines open to buy tickets they do not want. If anything can be done to stop that happening, your chance of getting a ticket that you in fact want at face value increases in the future. The event organizers obviously want to stamp out EBay trading, which I think is right. They paid for the tickets to get money out of them, so I say leave the losers out of pocket.
Be tough and the consumer will win eventually.0 -
I was going to post a link to the metro radio arena too. I would never buy tickets from Ebay as you don't know they're genuine, and as anewman says its not fair on the rest of us that people are selling on tickets for a huge profit. I sat for 3 hours the morning tickets went on sale trying to buy them before they sold out and couldn't get them - it makes me mad that ppl are selling them on for a profit - you can simply return them to ticketmaster for a refund if you find you can't go.0

I'm just about to work my way through the lot on Ebay. 1408 auctions in total. w***ers. I've exceeded the number of messages I can send in one day. At least some people have got a message that will scare the crap out of them, and hopefully make them think twice when they think buying tickets is easy money.0

Well, if you've nothing better to do with your time...
The re-sellers called up the ticket line aswell, you had just as much chance of being sold tickets as them. People buy various things to sell on at a profit all the time and as long as people are daft enough to pay hundreds of pounds to see a band perform for an hour and a half touting will remain. Apart from a few idiots that post seat numbers and get the tickets cancelled then spoiling auctions or reporting them does nothing. A tout can join a fan forum, post that they want x for a ticket, get flamed and have their post removed within half an hour, but someone will have messaged them in that time to say they'll buy. Even if that fails, they'll sell the outside the gig, I've not been to one gig where i've not been offered tickets at an inflated price on my way to the gig. Tout's don't even do real fans out of tickets, the same number of real fans will attend, jsut there will be a few who are idiots that ahve paid £500 for a ticket with a face value of £30Bought, not Brought0 -

How about we do away with all the crap and make the £50 tickets £500, the £40 tickets £150, and the one's at the back the ebayers can't shift that are £30 for £40, and either give all the extra money to charity, or the band. Ebayers couldn't possible profit then.0 -
