Recomend mobile wi-fi hotspot

Need something to connect our macbook, ipad and netbook to whilst we are away from home in UK and France.
Looking at unlocked huawei 5573 and getting a Giffgaff sim, 20gb for £20????????
What would you get?

I bought a Netgear Aircard 785S (refurb - about £50) a couple of months ago for a trip to SE Asia. Brilliant device. Highly recommend (wouldn't want to pay brand new price for it though - about £100).

This will be to use for a few weeks next month and then for two months after the summer so don't want a monthly subscription.
I thought Giff gaff as our mobile phone gets a signal in the areas we will be and friends on Virgin don't.
