    Yes that architect looked at the property details and there are no restrictions or rights removed.

    In regards seeking permission for the new work that i want to do, i was doing some digging around on the internet and found the details below.

    Q : "Who is Mayor Aldermen and Burgresses of the County Borough xxx"
    A: Muncipal corporation act of 1882 says "The municipal corporation of a borough shall bear the name of the mayor, aldermen, and burgesses of the borough, or, in the case of a city, the mayor, aldermen, and citizens of the city.     Correct me if i am wrong but the way i read this is that you need to seek permission from your local council if you want to do any work on your property.

    Does this mean that,


    1: Seeking permission from the council for any future work be sufficient?
    2: Do we need to mention to them that we have a covenent to seek permission from Mayor Aldermen?
    3: Do you think its wise giving local council a call to ask them about this?

    No, it would be quite foolish given that one of the potential solutions is an indemnity policy, which would be invalid if you've flagged up the issue to the council. Wait until you have advice from your solicitor.
