Amazon won't say anything, as above. If you want to use your TV's wireless display feature, an Android phone or tablet, or of course an Amazon tablet, would do it (subject to being quite fast, and having good WiFi).

I second that suggestion. The OP's TV obviously has a limited range of apps, and the apps it does have may not be well supported / current. A refurb Roku box will provide access to a very wide range of frequently updated apps, allowing competing services like Prime, NowTV & Netflix etc. all from the same box and with the same remote.

We have older Toshiba set in study and we use Amazon fire stick. Works very well.

I would still recommend a lightning to HDMI adapter, esp since the OP has an iPad gives more flexibilty,turns an iPad to a PC :rotfl::rotfl:
