My Toshiba smart tv has a Netflix app but not Amazon Prime. The tv has an option within the Source screen for wireless display. My iPad has screen mirroring but when I access it it is only searching for Apple TV, which of course I don’t have. In the toshiba instructions, it says “ press source button, select wireless display, open the sharing app on your device, scan for devices, select your tv and connect, the screen of your device will now be displayed on the tv.”
So, do I need to download a sharing app? If so, which one? And do I need to buy it. Or is there a free one? Or, is there another way? I do have cable that I can connect to the HDMI port, but the port is not easily accessible so I would prefer to do it wirelessly.

Amazon Fire TV stick? Chromecast stick?
Either of those is probably the easiest way to expand the Smart functionality of your TV.0 -
Yeh there is workarounds, the problem is im not sure on the legalities of using them. Id suggest the firestick too.
Alternatively if you google 'ios screen mirroring no apple tv' you should get pretty clear instructions to 3rd party apps that might help.0 -
If it's a smart tv can't you just download the amazon prime app onto it?
It's what I did with my Samsung tv0 -
Get a 2nd cable and leave it plugged into the TV then you only need do it the once.0

The OP will need to get an Amazon Firestick.0 -
I'd suggest get a Roku, then you can choose whatever you want now & future & not be limited by the manufacturerEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

That could work ... lets the Ipad plug directly into the TV.0
