    If the transaction is in euro (not converted to sterling), it will mean the your CC/DC will do the conversion. That is what you really want if you pay with specialist credit/ debit card to get the good exchange rate.

    On contactless card payments I’ve experienced the card machine automatically defaulting to leaving the payment in Euros and I’ve also experienced the machine wanting to convert it to pounds sterling. Just be careful when you do contactless so you’re not stung.
