Lol, ‘had to’ revert to plastic, paper or re-usable or no straws at all not an option?

To be fair the metal straws do not come with a cleaning brush Each & are a bit of a swine to clean.
And I had the most gruesome row with a 7 year old when I offered to mark "her" straw with a dab of nail polish. (The gravamen of the crime being not that she didn't want to be unique but she really didn't want to annoy her mother whose nailpolish I was planning to use.)

I note McD now offer a robust paper straw & will see if I can't sweet-talk a handful of those for my more awkward Scouts.

Seashell straws? <awed at humans ability to make life difficult for themselves>
