Yes mine is exactly the same as yours in fact I'm getting 14 a month for the first year !
anyway I definitely get Android notifications every time a payment goes in over £150 and I remember setting it up I will try and see if I can see where0 -

Are you expecting immediate notification when a transaction occurs? I don't know about other banks but Nationwide and First Direct notifications arrive by text message c 8am the banking day following the transaction.0 -
On my online banking with Barclays I have along the top manage accounts drop down and one of those is notification preferences
i have transaction notifications large payment out over £150 large payments in over £150 that is where it is set up
i also of course have when your balance goes below a certain amount etc0 -
Thanks for the replies and those people that have gone in and tested. I am looking for a payments alert specifically so if Joe sends me £33 I will get an alert via push notification or email
So it looks like Barclays is the only one of the main banks that offers this (but only for £150 and over).
WHAT I HAVE CHECKED PERSONALLY
Yorkshire Bank app allows alerts for ANY transaction amount but that alerts on every transaction in and out set at £1 to capture all payments
Halifax Bank app - No alerts
Tesco app - No alerts
Nationwide - Text alerts when balance goes above/below only
First Direct - No alerts available0 -

First Direct provide low/high balance alerts by text message, and weekly statements. I've been getting them for years, -since long before mobile banking apps were invented. I think you have to set them up online, not through the app.0 -
Halifax does send me push notifications when I receive payments (not sure about sending them) but they are quite often delayed / out of order.
Santander let you set up a huge array of text notifications if you login to online banking on a desktop (alerts for transactions over a certain amount, balance below a limit, balance above a limit, CC statement ready, minimum payment due, etc.), but the minimum for transactions is £25 (at least, it is for credit cards)0 -
Quite a lot of the alerts can be delayed or out of sequence as mentioned above
the only true way to get absolutely instant alerts for any spending or credit is to use one of the app based Banks0 -
Monzo/Starling send push notifications in real time. You can customise other banks to give alerts when your balance gets to a certain threshold, but in my experience these are often delayed0
