Your cashplus account online should have a list of transactions with a balance alongside after each transaction.

This is the basis of all bank accounts. From your initial posts it sounds like somewhere along the line the figures literally do not add up.

This can only happen if the online banking software has somehow created a glitch. If this is the case then they should be correcting this asap, probably tomorrow.

Ring them tomorrow and see what they say. And also there shouldn't be anything to worry about as money cannot simply disappear without any transaction record.

Was it helpful or did it offer any advise for the situation I stated? No it was a sour reply with a nasty remark maybe you enjoy bullying people online and maybe that’s what’s wrong with the world I’m sure you’ve all heard of you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all? this applies here and maybe if people like the ones replying nastily to this thread applied to their own lives it just might make the world a nicer place

You are on the Money Saving Expert Forum where people do ask questions when something is unclear. I have nothing to offer in addition to the replies you already had regarding your missing £2K, but it's very unclear to me, and to others, why you have this account. Even after you have explained that it's about building up a credit history, I am afraid, it makes no sense to hold this account.

The recommendations you get on this forum is that you move your savings to one or more accounts that pay you interest (up to 5% AER), and that you read up on MSE about Credit Scores

There is no bullying involved in this, merely a desire to help you. I fully acknowledge that your priority is on figuring out where your missing £2K is but sorting out your money should not end there.

For information, Jessicawalsh9 I don't think any generation has been taught about finance - I never was.

In post #5 I asked you to check activity on the affected account - checking your other accounts won't help you uncover what you claim has happened. I said the only way the balance could be less when there are no unrecognised withdrawals was if some of your deposits had been 'lost'. Quite how that could happen I have no idea - only you can check the deposits to see if they are all there. Are they?

The alleged Uber fraud is odd but not likely to be connected (what's phishing/fishing got to do with it?).

Is it exactly £2000 that has vanished?

You've also said something else odd now - 'no payments go out of this account' - but then you say you rely solely on your card. Does this mean you don't classify card transactions as payments?

I don't think Colsten was being unhelpful but am aware that I might seem to be. Sadly, until the things you say start to add up, I'm disinclined to take you at face value - sorry.

Except that, whilst the points made may be valid, they do nothing to help the OP's immediate problem.
That might be because I have nothing to add to what's already been said about this by others (a bit like yourself). Perhaps you overlooked that my post started with "Once you have solved the mystery of the missing money". I am unaware of any rule that says we must only post in a thread if we can offer help with someone's immediate problem.

I don’t recall stating that previous generations had been given financial education?

Wha is special about your generation that you should get financial education?

Have you just come here for an argument?
  • Do you know what taken you middle aged/ over the hill syndrome else’s where!

I never stated that any generation had financial education! Not once I asked for advise from people who I thought would be helpful more fool me

Yes you may not have had financial education but did you grow up with 1000xs of banks being advertised and recommend as the best deal , did you have so many forms of different types of banks, different currencies such as 1) Litecoin (LTC)
    2) Ethereum (ETH)
    3) Zcash (ZEC)
    4) Dash (DASH)
    5) Ripple (XRP)
    6) Monero (XMR)
    7) Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
And even more all recommending you place your money in for the best return

No you had a high street bank and a bank manager advising you maybe some fancy savings account maybe some real estate or if you were mega rich a bit of gold. That’s all it’s a completely different world out there now
Do I think your generation should of had financial education? Yes do I think everyone should? Yes
Would I be angry and bitter if they introduced it into schools now and I missed out? No

Stop being so nasty! I purely asked for some advice/help I didn’t expect to be bombarded with nasty messages that are complete irrelevant to my question, about why I have a cash plus account and why I haven’t got all my savings in a savings account, why am I unable to get hold of my bank on a Sunday
Seriously I simply asked has anyone experienced anything like this or have any idea why this might be showing up

I hope people treat all of you who have replied some irrelevant nasty message with far more love and compassion than you do
  • Marvellous.

Maybe you should have just waited until tomorrow and called them up.

There’s little anyone here can do - even if they worked of the company they wouldn’t be able to do anything to help directly.
