  • I'd love to wake up to snow (nigh near impossible here at any time of the year), now I work from home I wouldn't have to go out in it at some god awful early time to get to work!

Went off and took some of my frustration out on some Hob Nobs - I didn't eat them, I bashed them to crumbs in a bag with my fist and made a big chocolate torte with cherry brandy soaked raisins........it's in the fridge now....:D

Sent an email for an application form for a part time Technology Technician job in the school very near me. It closes tomorrow and sounds nice and easy but it would be a bit different and might take me in a different direction, I've always fancied working in a school for some reason. I don't know how the hours are spread but if it is mornings that would be ideal as AQA is often quieter in the mornings during the week (cancel that request for snow if I get the job!!)

Hi a quick update on the wether in my part of Leeds it's stopped raining ..first time today

Unfortunately it's still raining at my side of leeds:( , thankfully not heavy anymore.
As for guitars i think they do come left handed, but i think Jimi Hendrix was left handed and played a right handed guitar
Thanks - I'm certain there's a couple of music shops in town so I'll pop in there and see (one on Eastgate that used to sell guitars and bongo drums and things)!

Well that's always the trouble isn't it? I look at snow and think: The roads are going to be jammed up with people who just can't drive...

Oh very nice - hope you get it.

Now remember to practice your telephone manner:

"Have you tried turning it off? What? It still doesn't work? Did you remember the 'turn it back on' bit?"

"Your password doesn't work - it doesn't let you in? Have you tried using the one you've forgotton?"

"Your internet has stopped working? And the lights don't work? And the words 'power cut' aren't ringing any bells either?"

You've got to be sarcastic as a school techie. It's the law... ;)

The schools all close at the first sniff of snow: Health and Safety.

Persisting it down in Leeds (and darned cold outside). I went out for 15 minutes and was soaked through! Have to confess I've put the central heating on because even wearing thermals, fluffy socks, TWO jumpers, a scarf and a hat I was freezing! So cold outside the cats don't want to go out!

    Hi Tigtag

Have just looked out the window and am gobsmacked - it's almost pitch-black out there! I guess winter is well and truly upon us! If I had any Baileys in the house, I'd do myself a Bailey's hot chocolate:D

Well I've had the fire on all day. Though on the other hand, I am moving soon and I need to use up all the wood I've stockpiled...

  • the sky went a very odd pink/grey colour before it got dark here. Stil raining though and I could do with going out and getting some painkillers (random I know)

Hope my chocolate torte with cherry brandy (home made cherry brandy! ) soaked raisins works.....might do it on Christmas Day if it does....it smells delicious and I'm trying to stay away from the fridge as it needs a few hours to set. It's from the latest Somerfield freeby magazine if anyone has it - I'll let you know how it tastes!
