help. how do we work sky +

Hi

You said you bought a refurb, I guess you had the standard sky before.

Sky + needs 2 feeds from the dish for the two tuners.

When sky install they replace the old LNB (receiver on dish) with one with 4 outputs.

Have you got two cables?? as none of the posts have referred to this.

Landlord is a bit fussy about us moving it. It's out back and nicely concealed but there's a tree and building getting in the way a bit hence the weak signal.

The above poster makes a good point. If you check round the back of the box you should have two inputs connected. This may simply be your problem in that you only have one feed, get this checked first, then if still no luck possibly try and get the dish moved. Either way you'll probably need someone from sky to come round.

yes. the engineer put another cable through when he fitted the sky + on thursday. Hubby reckons the prob lies with faulty cable not dish. but will let them sort it out on sunday.
