Anyway change the lock barrel and if they turn up call the police.
If you do change the locks you will more than likely be in breech of your tenancy so make sure you keep the old barrel so you can return the flat with the original keys. Otherwise the LL is within their rights to charge you to change them again when you leave0 -

The point would be to stop the LL just turning up and letting themselves in whether you've given permission or not. If you change the locks and don't give them a key then they can only enter with your permission.
You need to decide what you want here, do you want to leave the property or not? Have you even started to look for somewhere else to live?
If you are happy to leave then you can negotiate with your LL around your notice period (usually you have to give a months notice). It may be beneficial to the landlord to let you leave with less notice if they then get earlier access to the property for their repairs, or possibly reduced rent in your last month for the inconvenience, it really would all be down to negotiation and how desperate each of you is.
If you are not happy to leave and want more time you can dig your heels in and not move out when they tell you to and not allow the repairs, it sounds like you haven't been issued a formal S21 so the landlord can't even start court proceedings if you refuse to leave, you could drag it out for a few more months while they get their side in order and do things by the book, but ultimately (once they have followed all correct procedures) they can go to court to have you removed and that could end up with you owing additional costs to them.0 -

They give us 3 months notice which runs out in 2 weeks then they said they would give us the s21 i will move and told them i will and packed loads.
But they keep pestering about repairs and once agreed to wait until we had moved then a few weeks later wanted to do them again, they keep changing things all the time. I have not replied to the last email that come yesterday asking to call in on Monday to speak with us about the repairs to the property but the repairs have needed doing for over 4 years so what's the rush now ? also when hte garage roof broke they only come to fix it after i got in touch with the council.
So if i refuse to let them in what can they do ? don't i ahve any rights and will this end up costing me loads of money in court fees.0
