WAS there anything wrong with it that you knew about?

"Sold as seen" doesn't mean you can cover up any dodgy problems and hope someone doesn't spot them on a short test drive...

Put yourself in you buyer's shoes. How would you feel if you had just bought a car, it died 30 minutes into ownership, and the seller said "tough sh*t"?

Probably best to wait and see what the garage says.

Yes I have bought vehicles that broke down 30 minutes later, fixed it, in the dark, well enough to get me home, sorted it the next day and never crossed my mind to moan at the seller.
You want warranty, pay the dealer price.

Just an update - the garage have fixed the car, which was a wiring issue.
The purchaser is collecting the car tomorrow ... just hope it doesn't conk out on him again!!

The saga (of course) continues ...

He agreed to collect it on Tuesday afternoon, but it was still at the garage on Wednesday afternoon!!
I phoned him Wednesday evening to politely ask 'is the car ok now' - answer-phone cut in so I left a message and not heard back.

    Ho hum! :)
