I have decided which tyres for my car I require and tried to negotiate the cheapest deal with a tyre fitters. He gave me a written quote. Now I am trying to find a cheaper quote for the same tyres. What is the best way of going about this? Thank you so much for your assistance.

Call around other garages who fit tyres for quotes.0

LOL I was hoping there was a quicker way than that.0

What, sort of a CompareTheTyrekat site? Think about your average independent tyre place... Not the big as-seen-on-tv branded chains, your average one-man-and-greasy-dog back street place. Do they seem to be the type to go on comparison websites?0

If you want to look online then i've found Camskill to be the cheapest website. Get them delivered to you and then get a reputable garage to fit them for you. I usually pay £10 a tyre for fitting.0

If check Black circles, National, ATS, Protyre, Halfords, Kwikfit - check any cashback sites (topcashback etc) and go from there.
If the local bloke is ballpark to the above, I'll use him.
The camskill route works but get a quote for fitting only.
IMHO, tying yourself to one option only can be limiting - if better deals are available on certain brands, the best value may lie there.
(For example, I find certain Michelin's tend to last noticeably longer - the cost offsets it but if they're on offer then they make good sense to me)0 -
local, scruffy but reputable back street place is where I go. Great prices and service.0

I use tyres on the drive and some tyres will have a reduced price. They even do it on the pavement outside of your house. More premium tyres may last longer like.... over 20,000 miles and still counting but it is the rubber that rots. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
Please note that at no point during this work was the kettle ever put out of commission and no chavs were harmed during the making of this post.0 -

I've used them once and never again. Somebody, probably not long out of school, with probably very basic training turned up in a liveried van and during the fitting process damaged two unmarked alloy wheels.
That far outweighed the convenience of not having to travel.
They did pay for the wheels to be refurbished/repaired though, without any argument.0 -

I get mine from https://www.lovetyres.com. once delivered have them fitted for a tenner each.
Always seems to be the cheapest for me.0
