Would you change conveyancing solicitor?

We recently sold our property and decided to use a specific conveyancing solicitors that were recommended to us. The solicitor dealing with the sale of our property has been excellent, quick responses to emails and acknowledgements of delivered paperwork etc.
Since then we found a property we wanted to buy and instructed the same solicitors firm to do the conveyancing work for us for the purchase.
Unfortunately our experience with the new solicitor, who is dealing with our purchase, is quite the opposite of the selling conveyancing solicitor.
I have left numerous messages for a call back, had no acknowledgement of any of the paperwork I have returned and can't get a reply to any of my email enquiries (granted there have only been 2). It's been 10 days since we instructed on the purchase and we are getting worried that this is not setting a good precedent.
We have the paperwork which states we can cancel within the first 14 days for any reason, but I remember how much paperwork we had to fill in for the client pack!
Do you think it would be worth getting some more quotes and cancelling the purchase via them and starting again? I know we would have to also inform the Mortgage Broker and also the EA we purchased through.
Feels like a lot of work, but wondered if it could prove worthwhile in the long run?

A smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.
It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.
A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.

Have you actually raised it as a concern/complaint with the firm? They obviously have some competent staff so might be simpler if they can re-allocate your file rather than start afresh elsewhere.0

Ultimately, what is important is the solicitor does a good job and that you feel comfortable with the communication and response time through the process.
I would suggest asking for a meeting a expressing your concerns , I use the same conveyancer for both buying and selling can your file be transferred to the solicitor you dealt with previously.
The firm itself you have a prior good experience of so this should be resolvable but they will only know their is an issue if you raise it0 -
It completely beats me why you are not using the same solicitor for your sale and your purchase. Using two different solicitors, even wihin the same firm, just complicats matters and adds delay and duplication - quite irrespective of how efficient they each are.
Instruct the firm to allocate your selling solicitor to take over the purchase.0 -

I must admit when I instructed them I just assumed it would be. I will contact them tonight and make the request.
