You'll think you got off easily accepting it once debt collectors fees are added. This stays on the system in Italy for 5 years.0 -
If you were caught bang to rights, you might as well pay it off to avoid the possibility of hassle in the future, even if that is unlikely. 70 Euros is trifling, really, in the scheme of things.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

I received a speeding fine from Italy almost 2 years ago, about 300 euros for about 15km/hr over the limit. I "filed" it and have not heard anything since, [cue knock on the door]0

Hi, I received the 1st letter about 10 months after & I've just received a 2nd letter which had to be signed for, the postage on this letter was €8.25!
All I'm bothered about is if it could be escalated to the authorities in the UK to be enforced, it was such a tiny amount over the limit, I think they are basically being like the !!!!!!
This wouldn't even be bothered about here & in other countries.
Thanks0 -
It is started to be bothered about in other countries like Germany - no don't believe the nonsense about being able to drive any speed on German Autobahn. Not all of it is deregulated and there are also cameras enforcing your distance from the car in front.
Germany is now enforcing them through the civil courts. Don't get caught speeding in Switzerland...0 -

"How dare those foreigners enforce their road laws!" isn't a sentiment that reflects well on you.0 -

Hi, I got caught on a camera on the autobahn near to Munich airport & I was going quite a bit over the limit. I had a charge from the hire car company. But have never received anything from the authorities.0 -
Pay it, demand a receipt & frame it as a souvenir.0
