Sign out of Gmail with the new address, then sign in again with the old one.
If you want to use two different Google accounts simultaneously you'll need to use different browsers or Private/Incognito mode in one window.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Thank you when I am in settings it only shows the new address even though I am still receiving mail to the first address - both must be there but how can I see them both?
In settings - Account it only quotes the new address
For some unknown reason it said my user name is now changed to the new address.
Any ideas why and how to correct it?0 -

You can sign in to more than one gmail account at the same time.
Click the coloured circle with your initial in it in the top right of the screen, then Add Account.0 -

I did that and then it said the my user name had change to the new address0 -
If you click on "Add Account" it should ask you for the email address to add, so you should enter the old address and then the password for the old address when prompted. It will then switch you to that account and you should be able to switch between the new and the old account.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. ok, I have now done as suggested above and logged out of the new email account and logged in and recovered old account.
Can someone please tell me how I delete the new account without deleting the entire thing?
IE so I am just left with the old account0 -

Strangely enough that was on of the top results when using Google to search for "Delete Google Account". Who would have thought that a simple search would have got the answer so easily?0 -

But I do not want to delete the entire account just the new second address0 -
If you mean just to remove it from the list just click on the account in the dropdown and then click "remove".Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums.
