That work area is terrible ... really bad ergonomics.
I'm wondering how easy it would be for the mug(+contents) to fall on the Apple...
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

Why? What possible benefit is it going to bring you?
clean cupboard of final bin bag!

I'm going to presume Infuse is the Mac equivalent of VLC and Kodi merged into one?
basically links with my win10 i3 laptop+11"ipad as a media player like plex.
not sure if there's a windows app as I use apple 4k t.v. for infuse pro app
for me it almost replaced plex viewer though continue to use plex media server via win 10 laptop.
it's been years since i used vlc and haven't used kodi-though you can advise if infuse sounds similar
Well the laptop won't last very long anyway if you don't connect it to power at some point :p
it didn't 100% to low battery warning from 1st dvd copy today-though auto restarted when I connected to mains sock.
But I have no idea why you've likened an external drive to a Porsche, considering the external drive is now going to be the slowest component of the entire system...[/QOTE]
    dvd copy 15 mins approx
blu ray maybe 1.5 hrs approx.
I only have a very small collection to store digitally, i'm not in any specs race!
actually i3 72xx is a lot faster than old school cpu's.

I can DL far faster than your transfer speeds. back up downloads for the win vs ripping

Intrigued more by the Apple Asus hybrid drive.

possibly referring to Asus External Blue Ray drive that I used one of quite a few Apple stickers :)
it's windows blu ray drive -there's a simple de install re install process to get win10 to recognise blue ray drive took me a while to find this process from online search.
That's the drive that using two usb 3 sockets on laptop -though Asus drive only uses usb 2 speeds.
