Some old school storage upgrade.
My enjoyed i3 laptop with 128gb ssd.
Is being complimented with LaCie 1tb external hdd tomorrow.
Looking forward to using usb-C type socket.
I can enjoy copy a small collection if Blu rays+DVD's.
Plan to view via Apple 4K t.v. Using Infuse.
That is all three usb sockets in use
Two usb 2-Asus external blue ray drive one power one data
+LaCie 1tb hdd-usb c type socket.
Haven't thought about draw from battery, though don't mind if I have to connect to main power socket if required.

So why have you started a thread about it? Do you expect us to be impressed by your mention of Porsche? Because we're not.

And I though that someone was actually going to get a Porsche. Disappointed.

I can never understand why so many of the OP's posts are about some item of tat that he or she is either has or is about to purchase yet, according to their signature ("sc dmp 2012 13k Jan 2019 9880paid. 75%approx."), they still owe well over £3,000 in unpaid debt.

    LaCie - manufacturer
Porsche - design of the box/case

I am not sure about all specs and don't know what price you paid, but if it was £80ish, for the same money you could have 4TB - https://www.amazon.co.uk/WD-Elements-Portable-Hard-Drive/dp/B0713WPGLL/

If so, you seem to have exchanged 3Tb for "Stylish, sophisticated finish" that "perfectly matches your MacBook"

Why? What possible benefit is it going to bring you?

I'm going to presume Infuse is the Mac equivalent of VLC and Kodi merged into one?

Well the laptop won't last very long anyway if you don't connect it to power at some point :p

But I have no idea why you've likened an external drive to a Porsche, considering the external drive is now going to be the slowest component of the entire system...
