@DCFC79
I was able to verify myself( security questions, memorable information, where I live, date of birth,...).
If you are doing 50 transactions in a month, do you remember all of them? Every single Pound you are spending.
The point here is different
Anyway thank you for your input
Perhaps not but I do find it odd that a bank would ask for additional information after you had correctly given them "memorable" information such as letters/digits of a password, memorable name/place etc.
Asking for transactional information is usually a fallback when the customer can't remember their saved security information, not a matter of first resort.0 -

This is what I was thinking.
Three posibilities around it that I can think of.
1. OP is not telling us everything (hey let's go to to worst first!).
2. OP is assumed to have done something very bad by the back they are not aware of.
3. Over zealous fool asking the question worried about being to leinient.
If 3 OP will get £50 when complaining, the others not so much.0 -

Clearly the Op failed security at some point.
So while answering the above questions, they are only part of the clearing security. Most will ask about spending on the account as well. Given that personal info can be gained via various means (family member etc).
Spending on the account will only be available to the actual account user.Life in the slow lane0
