The airport tax is vastly more expensive than a 50p surcharge so another non storyNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

- yet another misleading title from MSE...key recommendations are:- Proposals for a new flight protection scheme costing up to 50p per person on average

They can just collect it through adding extra 50p on airport tax
I doubt if anyone actually bother about extra 50p if they are rich enough to fly.0
