What's your best mpg for your behemoth gas guzzling petrol? Engine size?
Steady sensible driving only, imagine you're trying to impress the green party.
(Don't bother if you're one of the 'no acceleration sense' brigade).

Funnily, i've been pondering a small Caddy sized van to facilitate a side project i'm going to work on. I havent seen much movement yet, but in theory markets like pickups and vans are likely to be hit by the upcoming downturn.
Would be interesting to hear if anyone has direct experience?
Why? So you can argue with them?0

35mpg. 3179cc / 252 hp naturally aspirated flat six engine. That's at a sedate 60-65mph on the motorway, I haven't tried driving slower than the HGVs.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

The best car I've had for sheer range was a 1.6 Diesel Citroen C4. On a trip to France, it showed a full-tank range estimate of 1580km - 1000 miles, or 75mpg.0

Used to have a 1.8L petrol Toyota Avensis that would do between 60-65mpg over a tank according to the trip computer. Brim-to-brim reality was 55-60mpg. Always amazed me that such a big, lumbering car could be that economical but I changed the oil regularly (it was one of the engines that consumed oil in its later life, so you could say I was constantly changing the oil!), kept the tyres inflated to spec and drove carefully. Was a sad day when it finally died.0
