Eurocarpark PCN -Afterhours parking

Options
hi everyone,

Need some advice on this PCN...

So The Gym Sutton has some 2Hrs parking agreement with Sainsburys next to them.

so i went to gym on 21/4/19 between 2.15am-3.48am....i got a PCN saying the vehicle was in breach of the following terms and condition.
"Your vehicle was parked longer than the maximum period allowed".
its less than 2 hrs though......
i know its not store working hours.. but the parking time counter at the Sainsburys entrance showed me that i have 2 hours from my entry time and even the boards around just show there 2 hours free parking and no mention of any operating times.

is this a valid PCN??? thx

No private PCN is 'valid' or legit, as the industry operate an outrageous scam.

Usually at a Gym you have to input your VRN onto a keypad to claim your free time parked.

Is that on the signs in the gym car park?

Is the keypad visible inside the gym?

Have the staff drawn it to your attention?

You know how to appeal from reading NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.

Gym has an pin based entry system....parking is just an arrangement between sainsburys and the gym group....you could use it whenever sainsburys is open i guess and you dont need to validate the parking anywhere or with anything.

complain to the gym to try and get it cancelled , and find out what should be done for an out of hours parking event, because usually there is an ipad or similar where you record a VRM into the system for exemption - so get the gym managager to clarify it with Sainsburys and get this pcn cancelled (but keep the pcn , dont let anyone have it, take a copy or a picture of it with you)

also read the NEWBIES thread you were pointed at where post #1 has a ready made template in blue text for the appeal to ECP, appealing as KEEPER , no blabbing about who was driving, not to anyone

This sounds like an informal arrangement between the gym and Sainsbury's so doubt the gym have any clout in cancelling a ticket. Seems like one of these 24/7 gyms with minimal supervision.

OP doesn't have to display a permit for example. We can use our local council car park for three hours free with a permit displayed. Gym can't do anything about the tickets as car park is council owned.

    Thanks mate,
I just spoke to thegym customer service and they said there is nothing they could do since the normal operating times apply to gym users as well....

The pcn states " i overstayed the time limit" and in small letters it states i was there without authorisation.....

My only point of argument is there is no board in the premise stating the operating times and the entry display board (ANPR thing) stated that i can stay there for 2 hrs from my entry time....i might have the clip in my dash cam to prove it..... Is this something valid...

So i made this mistake the following day too..still waiting for that pcn.... so thats going to be (£80 quid)

I went a through the FAQs in the forum.....should i just send an appeal as stated??

if you have a postal NTK, appeal it as KEEPER using the blue text template in post #1 of the NEWBIES thread

if you have done so and have a popla code , start drafting your popla appeal

    pasteboard .co/IdVoI34.jpg

    thats the board inside.....

i m going to appeal as soon as i get home....my only worry is i kind of get the feeling that i was in the wrong since i parked there in the night when the store is actually closed...

but the NTK letter states i overstayed the time--which actually doesn't makes sense...

so the ANPR board stated i have 2 hours on entry....which contradicts their rules of overnight parking( if they had any)....this is a valid point right??

Doesn't the dashcam show you drove in at 00.57 and had until 02.57?

Am I reading that wrong, or is that dashcam footage from another night?
