But it is a stepping stone to what you want - and that is the important thing. Better to get to what you want more slowly but securely than try to rush and find you don't have the resource behind you to do it. But I do know what you mean. I would love to give up work now but know I can't - not yet anyway. But the day will come for both of us when it will be OUR choice! :)

It is indeed a stepping stone... I know what i want which is a big improvement i just need to make sure i can get it securely... and i am now sub 25k after all!!!:p

Good morning all, Up bright and early to get ready for the long trek west to northampton. I just hope it all goes well and things are ok.

Well looking at it, If i made my last day of !!!!!! work (apologies for gratuitous use of that word) 30th september then I have 132 days as of 1st June to put up with... thus commence the countdown!!! yay!!!

In that time i aim to....

    1) earn myself £500 matched betting... thats £125 per month
    2) Become reiki qualified and do a specialist course in animal reiki
    3) earn £300 dog walking/sitting...
    4) earn £10,000 in commission... (thats £25,000 of written business per month)
    5) earn £200 from miscellaneous "stuff".
    6) spend a saturday per month at mic's dog school to get experience and study the topic of dog training as much as possible..
    7) Move out of here to somewhere else...
    8) find out how to refer mizmir to canbet!!!!! (thought i'd chuck in a nice easy one there so i can cross something off sooner than later!)

So thats me, thats my plan.... must dash, will update tis eve.
Have a great day all. xxx

Pleased to see you've got a plan, hope your meeting goes well and the car behaves.

One thought on the 4 month timescale. If you don't use your holiday entitlement either you can use them during your notice period to leave earlier or they pay the holiday pay for unused holidays in your final salary which will give a bit more of a cash buffer on leaving. But you might need holidays to tolerate the 4 months
