Mines so dear because I use the dealership.Garages around here are crap..one did a full service and 2 days later I needed new discs and pads so he hadn't done a good job..hence why I use the dealer. If you've found a great local garage stick with them as they are hard to come by.

Only kidding hon, do you have a thread at all? yes life has thrown a few curve balls the last couple of days but no point being down about it or i'll end up back where i was last year! so positivity all the way... Well as much as i can anyhoo.:D

Squirrel, please please PLEASE don't tell people there is a national jaffa cake shortage, that would have a worse effect on the economy than the current credit crunch and give me a scare to!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: (hmmm, wonder how many jaffa cakes i could panic buy with the money i have left!:D )

Taxi, yes i will keep hold of them, they are a tyres and exhaust kind of place but when it comes to those they are very good.

Shh, it's my new plan for making extra money, along with my 'Hiccup Removal' business, I'm going to stockpile jaffa cakes and then spread rumours of a shortage, followed by slowly releasing my supply on eBay at extortionate prices ;)

Thanks redsquirrel, I'm going to have so much fun with that over the coming weeks! Brilliant.

And yep, I'm really sure about Boris. Although if I had to choose between him and Ken I couldn't say who I'd go for!! Yuk.

That was just CRUEL!!!!!! I nearly had a heart attack!!!!

In fact I know this isn't true because I have given up the jaffa for the duration of my diet, so there must be a glut rather than a shortage! :rotfl:

Sorry P just saw your post. No, don't have a thread, I'm taking babysteps... It took me about a year to do my first post on someone elses!

Anyway, I have a really boring life compared to everyone else, apart from finances I'm really organised and steady, not planning babies, job is dull and very secure, and boyfriend is sickeningly lovely. So I don't think it would make a very good read! Although I am grateful for that.

Sorry, I've totally taken over today, this is my problem, it takes me ages to speak up and then you can't shut me up for love nor money. Well, maybe money...

Anyway, I'm going out now (pub, naughty I know, but it is a bank hol), promise to come back next week and keep posting though.

    xxx

PS although I'll be giggling to myself all evening that a bunch of strangers think I have a secret crush on Boris!!

Thanks rs for that journo link - have put shortcut on desktop. What jolly japes to be had!
Have a lovely dinner pania - yes, we'll both be having new exhausts next week.
Gave up on ebay listing and let overgrown grass confront mower instead - much nicer outside. Blackbird parents are having to be superbusy feeding squawking fat babies atm. They flop about, clumsy, demanding, hopeless.
I've always remembered reading that of all the fledgelings hatched, 95% don't make it to the next year. This is such a stark statistic - can it be true?

Hi A, i guess sadly that can be true when you think of predation, them happily flapping at mum wihtout realising puddy tat is creeping up from the rear! non sensical birds meeting fast moving metal ve-hic-ular type objects... very darwin related, so in theory each year that statistic should reduce til we have sooper-b-birds!!!

Just had some REALLY good news re the car (snaggles you're a darling, which is part of the good news!) just off for a quick shower before the meal so catch you all (plus southern comfort!) anon.

    Hugs
