Good morning people. sorry have been a bit of a busy bee this last couple of days, sitting on the sofa enjoying the peace of the morning before grumpy wakes up with a cup of tea.
Ok, hospital appointment was sorted on Friday, is now 10th april. Unfortunately i let loose (very politely i may add) with both barrels at the poor receptionist lady about the c*ck up's so far.
Now the consultant that i have to see has gone on his holidays until 10th april, and no i could not see someone else as he has "requested to see me himself" well bully for him! while he is sunning himself on some far distant tropical beach (which i'm believing knowing the amazing work that these guys dois fully deserved so i'm not begrudging him that at all) I hope the eye doesn't get any worse than it currently is.
Financially things are a wee bit tight this month. I had to buy some medicaton for DP to put in his food for his back leg as it is getting slightly worse again, that set me back £22, I also have 3 days training at work tuesday-thursday and the guys will no doubt all be in the bar in the evening, I am going to go to my administrators house for tea on tuesday (and meet her dog, an absolutely gorgeous husky that i am looking after for her for 2 weeks in june) so that will take care of one evening, but on wednesday i may have to feign a headache or something, i cannot be blowing £20+ in the bar i just wouldn't want to do it. It is also looking likely that I will be staying away on the 12th and 13th which OH is not happy about but is back to back mortgage and life sign ups for a whole 2 days!!! Kerching!!!!!! so i can tolerate sulks for that!
I think i have about £64 left for the month as spending money and i AM NOT going to resort to asking mum for some of my savings money back. The car has developed a dodgy rattle and I may need all of it come april.
Anyway on a lighter note, we have a new addition to the pania family. OH has insisted for a while despite my very vocal protestations that he neeeeeeded another ferret, and that our one was lonely.....
So yesterday afternoon I was dragged to the animal sanctuary where his one played with them (more cowered in a corner he was so terrified having lived on his own for 2 years, social skills? anyone?) and OH picked a "friend" for him. There has been a flurry of spending by OH on ferret associaed paraphernalia, but as i can see it going on useful stuff and not little plastic men i'm not too cross with him.
Righty anyway, I need to get up to beloved DP and shall be back with photos later. after doing battle with the harness. I am only going to put one piece of it on him today, let him get used to it then add another piece..
Then it's home to cook a joint of roast beef... (HELP!!! Ideas? anyone?)
Anthony Worrall Thomson has one on t'net but involves roasting ALL the veggies... is that not a bit excessive?
Catch you all later... off to be a busy bee. bye byedebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Pania -
,
but, BIG GROWLY 'BUT' -
'.......and other than coming away with a thumping headache each time it has been fine. The eye is blurred still, possibly a little more so than it was initially.....'
- what on earth are you thinking of, p?
Truly, please, you MUST stop gym. until the Appointment.
Please don't treat Specialist's long road to qualfifications, his status within the hierarchy, his insistence on seeing you himself, with what might read as contempt(I know you won't intend this) - sorry, but that's what it amounts to, until you can come back and say 'Told you so....'
It's not long and you're active in other ways, very likely to be with DP manoeuvres and ferret catching.
Serious plea, pania. PLEASE!CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

When I posted a couple of days ago, I just went back a few pages - gone back about ten now... wow, there's been a lot going on! OH.... DP... the eyes.... paying off debt.... business upturns (a little bit)... busy on here! I'm glad to see it - hope you're off now enjoying the fresh air, are you putting the first bit of harness on DP today? I'm off to have a second breakfast and continue with my list. And KC echoes Ampersand and runs away really quickly. I know you know we know you know... and so on. Not to make light of the situation, but just to be gentle with it, so you don't stop posting about it.
Have a good day!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
That's fine, pania.
Was just concerned you do NOTHING to prejudice your future - yes, I know only too well the self-hate of the weight gain thing. Didn't know extent of 1st C's chat with you.

Completely understand your point, but please realise that it is not done in contempt in anyway shape or form. I have full admiration for surgeons/specialists et al and the amount of time they spend devoted to their subject to not listen to them. When I saw the initial consultant I was told that gentle exercise would be fine and i promisepromisepromise you that has been exactly what i have been doing. I know the importance of the situation and have been careful. I promise.....
Unfortunately though "thumping headache" and "gentle exercise" are no phrases that go hand-in-hand - at least in my opinion. But i've put alot of weight on lately and need to do womething just to keep me sane,
You've got the rest of your life to be sane, but only one pair of eyes. And if your ex is right - why are you deliberately going out to starve a portion of you brain of oxygen?
Yes it's easily sorted - but after the necrosis is a bit late."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

(We're all weighing in this morning-and here's mine too-Sorry
)
The body is a really clever mechanisim -if you do something BAD to it-it tells you-by giving you pain so you STOP.
Exercise is giving you headaches-therefore this is your body saying "Gerroff Pania-this isn't good for you"
No more gym please-gentle walks and hoovering only !!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
